Music4Box: Connecting People Through Music

Music4Box is a social music streaming platform designed for an international media group. Acting as both Product Designer and Product Manager, I led the end-to-end creation of the product, integrating music discovery with social engagement. The platform enhanced user interaction, expanded artist visibility, and opened new monetization channels, positioning the client within the digital entertainment ecosystem.

Overview

I was contracted as both Product Designer (PD) and Product Manager (PM) to lead the end-to-end creation of Music4Box, a social music streaming platform developed for an international media group seeking to expand its digital entertainment ecosystem.

The objective was to design a scalable platform that combined music discovery, social interaction, and artist promotion, positioning the brand as a hub for community-driven musical experiences.


About the Client

The client is a global media conglomerate with a strong presence in entertainment, broadcasting, and digital content distribution. Their strategic goal was to diversify revenue streams and increase audience engagement by launching a proprietary music platform that connected fans, artists, and brands within a unified ecosystem.


Challenge

The main challenge was to design a platform capable of integrating:

  • Music streaming and discovery
  • Social networking features
  • Artist and event promotion
  • Monetization opportunities for the media group

Additionally, the experience needed to be intuitive, visually engaging, and scalable to support international expansion while differentiating itself from established competitors.


My Role

As Product Designer and Product Manager, I led the initiative from strategy to delivery:

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Defined the product roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • User Research: Conducted benchmarking and persona development to identify user needs.
  • UX/UI Design: Designed the complete experience, including web platform and social feed.
