Challenge

The construction industry faces ongoing challenges related to internal communication and information management between field, engineering, supply and finance teams. The lack of integration between these sectors often results in operational inefficiencies, errors communication and slow decision making. The need for a system that connects everyone these elements and allow for more agile and transparent management was one of the main motivators for the development of Informakon App.


Aim

Develop a mobile application that centralizes vital information efficiently and accessible to all departments, from field operations to the back office. O objective was to provide real-time data, improve internal communication and optimize operational processes, creating a more cohesive and productive workflow.


Search and Discovery

User Understanding

The discovery phase involved interviews with construction industry professionals, such as engineers, construction supervisors, supply managers and members of the financial team. During these interviews, we identified a series of recurring challenges:

  • Fragmented communication: field and back office teams were often uninformed about the status of the project, which resulted in project failures. delayed communication and decisions.
  • Difficulty tracking progress and resources: Side dishes manuals and spreadsheets were not enough to control the progress of works in time real.
  • Bureaucratic and slow processes: Purchase requests and Production records were made manually, leading to errors and delays in approval.

O Informakon App was developed as the definitive solution for the industry of construction, connecting the different departments in an integrated way and providing an easy-to-use platform, with specific functionalities for each sector. The application not only facilitates resource management, but also improves communication and transparency in the decision-making process.

  • News and Announcements: Keep all team members informed with updates and news about the project and the company, with automatic sending of notifications.
  • Alerts and Push Notifications: The alert system sends notifications immediate feedback on urgent matters, such as schedule changes or equipment failures essential for the work.
  • Training and Capacity Building Modules: Includes tutorial videos, manuals and webinars, allowing employees to access training materials at any time hour.
  • Surveys and Polls: The polls functionality allows you to collect feedback from teams and stakeholders, offering valuable data to improve processes and make more assertive decisions.
  • Corporate Calendar: A centralized calendar to manage dates important events such as meetings, material deliveries, inspections and corporate events.
  • Internal Vacancy Listings: The platform also makes it possible to publishing and managing job vacancies within the organization.
  • Access to Payroll: Employees can access secure your financial information and consult payslips and other documents related to payroll.
  • Knowledge Base: A central repository of documents and resources important documents, such as procedure manuals, internal policies and project reports.

Development and Implementation

Technology Used:

  • Platform: Developed in Flutter to ensure support cross-platform (iOS and Android).
  • Backend: We use Node.js com MongoDB for ensure scalability and performance in data management.
  • Authentication: Implementation of authentication via OAuth2, ensuring security in access to sensitive data.
  • Push Notifications: Integration with Firebase Cloud Messaging to send notifications in real time.

UX/UI Design:

The interface was designed with a focus on simplicity and usability. We use Material Design to create a clean, visually attractive, and easy-to-use interface browse.
